Summary
Following AHPRA reforms post-Four Corners investigation, from 1 July 2023 only AHPRA-endorsed practitioners can hold themselves out as 'cosmetic surgeons'. Endorsement requires specified surgical training. Stricter advertising rules including cooling-off period for non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
