Rules Mate

Partner with Rules Mate

Give your members or clients a scored, cited check of the AML/CTF program they already have, and a structured evidence pack to take into their independent evaluation.

Since 1 July 2026, many real estate agents, accountants, lawyers, conveyancers and trust and company service providers must hold an AML/CTF program and have it independently evaluated.[3],[1] Most of these firms already hold a program from a template or a starter kit. Rules Mate checks that document against 30 requirements and 173 individual checks, each cited to the AML/CTF Act, the AML/CTF Rules or AUSTRAC guidance.

Rules Mate is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by AUSTRAC.

What we offer partners

Free program health check for members

Each member firm can upload its AML/CTF program and receive a gap score and its three highest-priority gaps at no cost, with a verified email and no card. You link to it from your member resources page.

White-label evidence pack on the Practice plan

For consultancies, accountants and evaluators who check client programs: full findings for each client and an evidence pack organised for the independent evaluator, prepared for issue under your firm's name. We are setting this plan up with our first partners, and terms are confirmed on enquiry.

Referral or revenue-share arrangement

Where a member moves to a paid plan from your link, we can agree a referral fee, a revenue share or a member price instead. Terms are set in a written agreement before anything goes live.

Link or embed with attribution

A tracked link to the check, unique to your organisation, so checks started from your page are counted for you. A button or a placement inside your own portal can be agreed case by case.

Each partner receives its own link. It opens the same free check every firm sees, and records that the visit came from your page. It carries no personal information.

How members' documents and data are handled

  • Scrubbed before analysis. We extract the text and automatically remove personal information such as names, contact details, addresses, dates of birth, government identifiers and bank details before anything is analysed. Automated scrubbing can miss unusual formats.
  • Findings only. The uploaded file is deleted within 24 hours. The findings stay in the member's own account until the member deletes them.
  • Database stored in Australia. Accounts and findings are held in a database hosted in Sydney.
  • AI processing overseas. The scrubbed text is sent to overseas AI processing providers (including in the United States) to read and quote the document. The score itself is calculated by fixed rules, not by the AI.
  • Partners do not see members' documents or findings. Reporting to a partner is limited to aggregate counts of checks started from the partner's link, unless a member chooses to share its own results.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What a partnership does not mean

  • Rules Mate is independent. It is not affiliated with, and is not endorsed by, AUSTRAC or any other government agency, and a partnership does not change that. AUSTRAC does not endorse any AML/CTF program or provider.[2]
  • The check is a self-assessment tool that reads a document. It is not the independent evaluation the AML/CTF Act requires, which also tests whether the program is followed in practice.[1]
  • Each member firm remains responsible for its own program. The check and the evidence pack are general information, not legal advice.
