Why an Australian tool, and not a general-purpose AI

- Is this legal advice?
- No. Rules Mate is a reference tool and gives general information. It tells you what the rules are, where they come from, and links the regulator's own page so you can verify. For advice on your specific situation, talk to a lawyer or your accountant — and the Compliance Pack is designed to make that conversation shorter and cheaper.
- What stays free?
- The whole corpus, search, every browse page and all 49 tools — permanently. The Compliance Fingerprint is free. You also get free AI questions to try the advisor. Paid plans are for ongoing use, document uploads and the Compliance Pack export.
- Why not just use ChatGPT?
- Australian rules change constantly and they do not look like anyone else's. A general-purpose overseas AI will confidently tell you what a US or UK business should do. Rules Mate only covers Australia, cites its sources, and is built by people who have to live under the same rules you do.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from your dashboard — it's a monthly subscription, not a contract. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Which plan does a small business actually need?
- Most single-operator and small businesses land on Small Business Pro at $99/month — it has the full corpus (obligations, regulators, enforcement and cases) plus enough questions and uploads to work through a real compliance project. Starter at $29.99 suits someone with occasional questions. Business is for a team sharing the work across 5 seats.
- Do you store our documents?
- Uploaded documents are used to answer your questions and are automatically deleted 30 days after upload. Personal details are stripped out of your messages before they reach the AI.
