Is this legal advice?

No. Rules Mate is a reference tool and gives general information. It tells you what the rules are, where they come from, and links the regulator's own page so you can verify. For advice on your specific situation, talk to a lawyer or your accountant — and the Compliance Pack is designed to make that conversation shorter and cheaper.

What stays free?

The whole corpus, search, every browse page and all 49 tools — permanently. The Compliance Fingerprint is free. You also get free AI questions to try the advisor. Paid plans are for ongoing use, document uploads and the Compliance Pack export.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

Australian rules change constantly and they do not look like anyone else's. A general-purpose overseas AI will confidently tell you what a US or UK business should do. Rules Mate only covers Australia, cites its sources, and is built by people who have to live under the same rules you do.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your dashboard — a subscription, not a contract. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the month or year you've paid for.

Is there an annual option?

Yes. Every subscription can be paid yearly in advance for 10 times the monthly price, so 2 months are free. Use the Monthly / Annual switch above the plans. Monthly allowances (questions, uploads, document checks) still reset each month on an annual plan.

Which plan does a small business actually need?

Most single-operator and small businesses land on Small Business Pro at $99/month — it has the full corpus (obligations, regulators, enforcement and cases) plus enough questions and uploads to work through a real compliance project. Starter at $29.99 suits someone with occasional questions. Business is for a team sharing the work across 5 seats.

What is the AML Evidence Pack?

A one-off $299 purchase for a single AML/CTF document check: the full report, the evidence pack organised for your independent evaluator, and one re-score of your updated program within 90 days. Run the free check first, then buy the pack from your result. If you will update your program more often, AML Monitor ($59/month) re-scores it whenever it changes.

Who is the Practice plan for?

Accountants, bookkeepers and independent evaluators who check their clients' documents. It includes 20 client document checks a month across every rubric, and the evidence pack carries your practice's name. It is $249/month, or yearly at 10 times that.

Do you store our documents?

Uploaded documents are used to answer your questions and are deleted within 24 hours of upload; the original file is never stored. Personal details are replaced with placeholders before your messages or documents are analysed by AI.
