Victorian commission offering low-cost dispute resolution, including mediation, for small business. Handles retail leasing disputes under the Retail Leases Act 2003, owner driver and forestry contractor disputes under the Owner Drivers and Forestry Contractors Act 2005, farm debt mediation under the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2011, and business-to-business, business-to-government, franchising and taxi, hire car and rideshare disputes, with alternative dispute resolution under the Small Business Commission Act 2017. If VSBC mediation does not resolve a retail lease dispute, a certificate can be issued so a party can proceed to VCAT.
