Services Australia
Services Australia
Australian Government agency in the Finance portfolio that delivers payments and services on behalf of more than 8 policy departments and agencies, including Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support. Employers deal with it chiefly through the Paid Parental Leave scheme, under which an employer must provide Parental Leave Pay to eligible employees once Services Australia makes an employer determination, and through the Child Support program. Reformed as Services Australia in 2019 from the Department of Human Services.
