What to file
Last day to complete AUSTRAC enrolment if you provided a designated service on day one of Tranche 2.
Who is affected
Tranche 2 reporting entities that provided a designated service between 1 July and 29 July 2026 inclusive and have not yet enrolled.
Penalty if missed
Providing a designated service while unenrolled is a civil penalty contravention, and each day can be a separate contravention. AUSTRAC can issue an infringement notice of $21,840 (company) or $4,368 (individual) per contravention, or seek a civil penalty of up to $36.4M (body corporate), maximum per contravention. AUSTRAC began issuing notices to apparently unenrolled businesses on 28 August 2026.

Prep checklist
- Confirm reporting-entity status for each designated service
- Gather ACN/ABN, beneficial-owner and Compliance Officer details
